2026 Annual Action Plan – Needs Assessment Public Hearing
November 12 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
The purpose of the Needs Assessment for the City of Camden is to identify and prioritize the most pressing needs of the community, ensuring that federal, state, and local resources are directed where they are most impactful.
More specifically, its purpose includes:
-
Community Input: To gather feedback from Camden residents, organizations, and stakeholders about the city’s housing, infrastructure, and community development needs.
-
Data-Driven Planning: To use public input and local data to guide how Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and other funding will be allocated.
-
Prioritization of Resources: To determine which neighborhoods, services, or projects should receive funding first based on identified needs.
-
Strategic Development: To inform the City’s Annual Action Plan and other planning documents that shape long-term community improvement efforts.
In short, the Needs Assessment helps Camden plan equitable, effective, and community-informed investments that improve quality of life and support neighborhood revitalization.
