In order to prevent long lines and expedite services, all constituents are encouraged to make an appointment prior to coming to the Building Bureau office.
BUILDING BUREAU Room 403:
- APPOINTMENTS MUST BE MADE BEFORE COMING TO THE BUILDING BUREAU.
- These appointments will be at 30-minute intervals
- You must call the day before to schedule your appointment
- Service cannot be rendered to anyone without an appointment

The City of Camden Building Bureau is responsible for ensuring that all construction work in the City complies with the requirements of the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code (UCC), which controls all matters concerning the construction and demolition of all existing or proposed buildings and structures.
The Building Bureau is responsible for construction permits, inspections, and code compliance. It also handles all inspections for a Continued Certificate of Occupancy.
