This division provides budgeting, planning, design and construction management services for city projects that build or rebuild the City’s infrastructure and support the redevelopment of the City of Camden. The Projects undertaken by this division include, but are not limited to, street improvements to street, sidewalk, park & trailways, water and sewer systems utilities, water treatment plant; and traffic signalization.

FY’ 2026 NJDEP Green Acres – Improvements to Union Field
Scope of Work:
The City of Camden proposes improvements to Union Field as part of its 2026 Green Acres grant application. The project consists of the construction of a new synthetic running track, installation of a completely inclusive playground system, ADA-accessibility improvements, stormwater management enhancements, landscaping upgrades, and related site improvements.
The project is designed to revitalize and enhance the existing recreational field area, improve accessibility, expand recreational opportunities, and promote inclusive play for residents of all ages and abilities.
Public Hearing Information:
The public is encouraged to attend a public hearing to learn more about the proposal and to ask questions or provide comments on the proposed plan on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 6:00PM. The meeting will be held in person at Melvin Primas City Hall 520 Market Street, 2nd Floor Council Chambers, Camden, NJ 08102
